About Anne

I grew up right outside of Washington, D.C., so it wasn’t a shock that after college (Radford University) I wound up working for the federal government for 25 years. I started out using my degree in recreation administration (yes, they do teach that in college!) to run community centers and recreation programs for the Army.

This span of my life included a wonderful 10-year tour in Central America. In Panama I learned how to be a supervisor, thrived in a warm and diverse culture, and made many lifelong friends. I also shifted careers, earning certification as a Trainer-Facilitator in 1992 and falling in love with inspiring others to learn.

This time between 1985 and 1995 also marked the period in my life when I increasingly studied “The Course in Miracles”; read Marianne Williamson, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, and Robert Fulghum, among others; and strengthened my connection with other spiritual seekers.

How Did I Get to Coaching?

In 2003 I added coaching to my training tool-kit, providing one-on-one as well as team coaching. Immediately I was struck by the profound effect my coaching had on people. I even hired my own coach, to move me forward through a period in my career when I felt passionate about my coaching duties and less enthusiastic about other aspects of work.

One fateful day, my coach asked me this question: “Why aren’t you coaching full time?”

This was one of those rare, life-changing moments of insight that today I am privileged to witness in my clients! For me, the lights went on and the alarms went off. And after a pause, I responded, “Can I do that???”

A month later, A New Leaf Coaching was born as I left my government job and started coaching full time! Since that day I’ve been doing what I love most – offering clarity, value, and results for my clients.

Let’s Save the World

The choice of whom I would coach was an easy decision once I gave myself permission to be immersed with the people I love the most – Holistic Practitioners.

I believe that as healers we are absolutely essential to the health and well being of humanity! If we don’t thrive in business, our gifts are diminished – and the world needs us now! My gift to holistic practitioners is practical support that guides them to personal and professional success.
