My regular readers (bless your
hearts) may
remember that I had planned to feature an
article this month on my brand new
self-reflection tool, the Synchronicity Mirror.
However certain synchronous events have
allowed a short
delay in publication of the Mirror, and I am not
one to argue with coincidence!
Therefore my article this month features a
wealth of information that recently came to
me as a result of LEAKS in my house!
After
experiencing repeated small leaks in my
home, I decided to GET the message the
Universe was sending rather than keep
calling the plumber. I solicited guidance from
the many gifted and talented Lightworkers I
know, and your responses were
fascinating.
I hope you will find these dozen or so
interpretations, sent from a wide array of
Lightworker specialties, to be useful in your
own life and perhaps for your clients as well.
Question: What is the symbolism of
water
leaks?
According to feng shui, arranging for
water to be in the far left prosperity section of
your home, via kitchen sink, pond, picture of
a lake, etc., increases the chances of
prosperity, while leaks in this section are
consistent with loosing prosperity.
Usually water relates to emotions and
what emotion needs to be acknowledged
and processed. It is as if this emotion
cannot be held back any longer. Once
addressed, the water leaks will go away.
Leaks may symbolize a leaky
foundation.
That is the physical symbol. What it is
symbolizing on a meta-physical level, is a
leaky foundation in ones thinking, emotional
and sensory state of being. It is a soul
attention getter, if you will.
We spring leaks, so to speak, in our
energy fields of thought, feeling and
emotions when we are living with fear-based
beliefs. Water is always symbolic of the
soul.
Our soul will try very diligently to get our
attention in order to help us to think
differently, to help us to change the way we
think. Please know there is nothing right or
wrong about any of this. Having multiple
leaks is simply a way of getting our attention
to create some needed change.
Is it possible that this is a call to a deeper
spiritual awareness?
From a Louise Hay perspective water
leaks indicate a leaking of one’s energy out
to the wrong endeavors. Perhaps one is
draining themselves dry by giving way too
much to a person, a cause, work, or
whatever. It requires some
self-examination.
According to The Feng Shui House Book,
by Gina Lazenby, water is floating energy - it
represents the quiet, the darkness of
midnight, the stillness of winter. From this
stillness and the depths of darkness we
receive insights. The virtues of water energy
include confidence, courage and willpower.
So when water is out of balance, these
energies may be out of balance as well.
When it is important to reinforce the
strength of water energy in a room or your
home, place symbols of water or the color
blue there. Bringing in metal energy by
adding white, round shapes and metal
objects will give further nourishment. The
still quality of water means that it lends itself
as a good place for retreat and meditation, or
as a storage room.
Water is the element that allows us to
tap into the deepest area of creativity and
wisdom; for instance when you soak in a
bath, it heightens the opportunity for
meditation and allowing the mind to be free
to explore, or when we cry our tears reveal a
deeper emotion to look into and source what
has been triggered.
Water usually symbolizes the emotional
body, at least in Chinese 5 element
medicine. Questions to ask include, am I
leaking out too much money, too much time
that does not serve my highest interest, is
there something I have been holding on to
that would be in my highest interest to let go?
And then sometimes, it really is just old
piping.
In a nutshell, water symbolizes emotion.
It is the eternal feminine. Water is the elixir of
life, and is characteristic of relationships,
nurturing, sensitivity, empathy, giving, and
altruism. It is adaptive, intuitive, and
idealistic. Water is the great carrier and
solvent of all other substances. Water
makes room to accept whatever is added to
it.Challenges of water include boundary
setting, remembering our own needs,
over-sensitivity, challenges with life's
practicalities, instability, being wishy-washy
in decisions, being the martyr, and rebelling
with force if the container that holds it is not
appropriate in order to find its level (i.e. New
Orleans).
Washing away the old. Baptism!
